Gas installation charge?

Hi, we’ve found a van that has been converted at a converters and listed they charge £350 in install the Gas for the hob up etc. He did say if you have hooked a gas bbq up before you should be ok but they get a gas installation person out to do it. Is this something we should do? Is it more than fitting the hose to the gas bottle? Thanks

Depends what that charge is for. I would imagine it is for a full inspection and test.
If it’s just to connect the bottle then that’s mad.
