Gearbox reset

On previous dsg equipped cars, especially a used one, I always took it upon myself to reset the gearbox to make it adapt to my driving style.

My 6.1 is acting a bit weird and I want to reset it, but for the life of me I can't remember how to do it!

Anyone know where on vcds I go to do it?

Reset defaults can be done with vcds...

Not done it myself, but a VW tech mentioned it when looking into a DSG knock.

If you do basic settings via vcds then the box makes some slightly worrying clunks and grinds during the reset. It's documented that this is normal and is just clutches finding kiss points. It is also only possible to do reset if certain parameters are met (gearbox temp, brake held etc).

Trying the method without vcds does not produce any of these sounds so I doubt it does much.
