I had this awning fitted when I had my roof popped. It’s a genuine VW Cali Omnistor, it was originally light grey, but resprayed black to look better with my Starlight Blue van.
It was fitted with the original two piece fabric, which sadly split at the glued joint when it was shading from last summer‘s 40c heat. VW/Thule have since changed to a single piece of fabric. You‘ll find more details via Google.
I didn’t have the time or space to fit a new fabric (replacement Thule fabric is £340) - so had to bite the bullet and replace it with a complete new awning.
Now ideal for spares or repair. Mechanically it’s is was working perfectly, and there’s a new winder pole in the box. No fitting kit, as when you buy for a Cali you don’t get a fitting kit. Slight paint damage on the front from holding it closed with a zip tie - due the fabric rip.
