Genuine VW interface loom or not?

Apparently this is a genuine vw part. A genuine vw interface.... can anyone confirm please?
To me (unexperienced) it looks just like the connects 2 kit my local stereo shop had in stock. I decided to buy what I hope is genuine. Is it a genuine vw item and has anyone a picture of theirs?

Because they supplied a Kenwood unit from factory or as an option. Are we saying VW use a connects 2 to fit a Kenwood unit when you are buying a new van?
If thats the case then fair play, as i said, I'm inexperienced.

It’s probably a genuine Kenwood VW interface. Looks like the one that was fitted to my sportline years ago.

I think I was expecting a vw/audi badge on it like all the dab and aerial connectors etc.

hmm. I am still not convinced with this.
If I order a new vw and specify this Kenwood unit, I would not expect there to be faults registering. I've tried everything and it continues to show fault codes. I also cannot get the nav to display on the screen. Apparently this would have if it was fitted by VW and the interface would work perfectly within the vans canbus.
so is this really a VW lead? Can anyone confirm this before I end up taking it to my local dealer to confirm?

The DNX518 that was OEM in my old sportline did not display the nav instructions on the MFD

How do you mean it's showing fault codes. It is not codeable and you'd have to untick module 5F from the installation list.

I'm pretty sure they are not factory fitted. As far as I am aware, they are dealer fitted at PDI.

If I code it out, it brings up an error, if I code to 56 I get an error, no matter what I do, I get the error that it cannot communicate.
Maybe I am pushing the wants/limits and possibly cannot get the navigation to work on the display but I would not expect the faults if the interface done what its supposed to?

Yes they may well be dealer fitted and not factory but they are option at the dealer. This is a VW dealer we are talking about. VW would not allow it (I would hope) to have errors.
Mines a 2016 so it is on the limits but it came from a T6. Although not a guru, I can work my way around vcds.

Look I do not want to be getting into arguements over it being an aftermarket stereo and not VW etc etc, I do not feel I am asking anything too awkward.
Its all here on the Kenwood site and at 2mins 55seconds it shows it on the display. Perhaps I am missing something that needs adding?

In the CAN gateway list of installed modules you need to un tick module 5F (infotainment system) and module 56 (Radio) because you don't have either of them installed. This is why you are getting errors.

I have done that. I then get an error because it knows there is something there. From reading other threads it automatically sets 56 and so I get the error. I am unable to access it to code it further.

My van is in storage, not at home so I will get another when I pop down there next.
Cent. Elect. fault is because the rear motion sensor is disconnected, I've not figured out how to code it for just the front yet.

Untick Radio 56 and navigation 37 in the can gateway installation list. The tick in navigation is probably defaulting the radio to be ticked too.

The Kenwood CAN adapter will not be visible to VCDS so it won't know it's there

I unticked radio and nav. There was then an error and it automatically added the radio again with the fault. So there must be a problem my end but still amazed there is no way to clear it. The VW dealers must ignore the error on every van that has it fitted.
Nav stopped working when I untick navigation so ticked it and it came up on the dash but I then get the error nav not installed. Its not a problem as it still shows up but I am surprised that vw and kenwood thought the errors showing up was acceptable. That just boggles my mind that they did not care about it. All working but just get the faults showing.
