Getting plastic centre wheel hubs flush

Hi all, newbie here, looking forward to scrolling through all the great advice. I have a dumb newbie question to ask. The plastic black caps on one of my steelies came off the other day. I have a replacement, but for the life of me, I cannot get it to sit flush. I've tapped it all around, and while it seems secure, it doesn't look as good as the other three. Is there an easy way to fix this? Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, thanks in advance!

Sounds like the recesses for the bolt heads are aligned correctly.

I think so yeah, it sits neatly in the space flush and I have tried to click in but it won't stay there. Feels like it's on a bit of angle now so is secure but not as neat. Thanks for the reply
