Gloss black bumper trims - any tips?

Hi, I am about to start the process of changing the front grill, centre trims and fog light trims to THQ. gloss black ones.

Does anyone have any pointers or useful tips when it comes to removing the standard trims to avoid any damage or to speed up the process.

Removing the bumper isn’t an issue but I’ve only watched a couple of videos showing the removal of the trims and I’m a little apprehensive!

Thanks in advance!

At this time of year, I would say get a bit of heat on the trims before you remove them so you don’t snap anything.

You don’t have a starline do you?
You can’t replace the grills on a startline

Thanks, it’s a highline.

Started today. Only issue I had was removing the fog light trims. They were a nightmare. You have to remove a couple of spot welds to get them out. All very awkward.

All other parts came out nice and easy, just take time with them and use a combination of trim tools and a small flat blade screwdriver.

I’ve just got the maxton splitter so that will go on in the morning. I just need to work out how to do that!
