Glowing number plate led lights?

I noticed last night that our number plate lights glow In the dark, they are on really dim, has anyone else had this problem?

The van was still unlocked?
They should turn completely off after about 60 seconds after locking the doors - when central electrics controller has fallen asleep.

I'll check later if and when the rain stops, maybe just a bit of leakage then.

Could be cheap LED bulbs I had this with my interior lights and ended up replacing them

It is an ex RAC van so I will look to see if it is factory or aftermarket.

They look like factory LED fittings to me, IIRC tailgate vans come with led fittings and barn door vans come with standard lamps

I think I have read that somewhere when I looked at lamp upgrades, strange that they did it different on the tailgate one.

They look the same as my factory LED Number Plate lamps, and mine glow slightly when unlocked (but off) sometimes.

They all do that, even the OEM factory ones. I think it's part of the bulb failure detection. A low voltage is applied, even when they're turned off, the control module is checking the continuity through the bulb.

Checked them tonight and they went off after a short while, thank you everyone.
