Go Chrome or no?

Im about to be lifted to swamper heights.

My side bars are black and are already getting scuffed (maybe cheap bars, not sure).
I’ve been thinking that although I like black, I think the van needs something to contrast it a little. So I’m thinking of getting silver front and rear VW badges but also getting some stainless Steel side bars/steps like these.



Which should add a nice contrast to the black beast and with the steps, offer some function.



And the stainless will always polish up nicely.

Thoughts?

Not sure as I do like a bit of chrome but on your van I would stick to black personally. But we’re all different and what you like is what counts.

Up to you but for what it’s worth I’m loving the all black theme you have at the moment. Looks good.

Hate chrome ...stick with black .
Many of the chrome ones go rusty and look pants anyway .

Bad thread title, they are stainless steel.

I did have the black versions on my previous van but after a time the showed rust signed after washing (almost like rusty water coming out). Hence thinking of stainless steel which should not do that.?

The chrome plus swamper look is tricky...



Mine already had the stainless side bars (plus the extra Caravelle chrome) but I wouldn't have chosen then if it didn't. Still thinking about removing them at some point.

As a member of the "Over The Hill Gang" I love a bit of bling!
I reckon remove all the swamper stuff and drop the van a bit then get diamond cut wheels as white worm is very much the look this year...
