Going around roundabouts makes music play on phone?

So a bit of an odd one...
Android phone connected via bluetooth to my 2016 Cali Beach, using Google maps to navigate, turning at roundabouts starts playing music on the phone.
It's only started happening this year - it happened to my wife's Pixel7a first so I thought it was her phone being odd - but mind did the same yesterday...
vid here:
Doesn't show much other the red youtube music icon appearing at the bottom of the phone, halfway round the roundabout.
Doesn't happen if the headunit is turned off.
I've not done an in depth investigation yet - thought I check here to see if I was missing something obvious!

Havent experienced it myself, but touchscreen failure on the head unit can cause some very odd symptoms. An easy diy fix if you search the forum. Could be wrong of course..

That’s an interesting one.

Might be coincidence but in your video, at about 6 seconds, this little icon on the HU (circled) blips off around the same moment the YouTube music starts. I ditched my VW HU so can’t go out and see what it is.

Had a poke about and the touch screen does seem to be on the way out - dead spots and not very reactive. (Shows how often I use it!)

The circled bit is the mute icon.

Thanks
