I thought this might interest some on here.
Have you ever seen bright green rock?
I’ve been fortunate enough to be given the rights to fish with a few pals on a section of the north esk for salmon.
It’s a beautiful bit of Scotland just outside Edzell.
It’s about the only section of river that’s not been developed into a fishing beat.
So me and my pals have a lot of work to do clearing the banks and making access to the pools.
My pal who arranged this is a local and told me about some of the history of the area.
He said that about half way up our beat the rocks change to this very rare green rock.
Apparently the only other place in the world to find this rock is in America and Canada. So told us we were about to cross over into what used to be America.
Here’s some pics I took. In one the rock is bright red.
