I'm starting with this door as it's simpler than the nearside which has the locking mechanism.
First, remove the plylining and door lining card on the barn door. Then remove the plylining with box on the offside wall.
Then remove the offside rear quarter lining card (grey hardboard).
The lower cable is the cable we need to free before taking off the door.
Peel back the foam wrap to reveal the high-level brake light connector. Squeeze the clips at each end of the the connector to disconnect. Shed a few tears as you realise you need to replace that foam to stop the sound of the connector knocking about in the rear quarter panel void Suggestions welcomed for that...
Next, open the barn door fully out from the van (180 degrees) by releasing the check strap.
Remove the door loom by pulling from the top of the grommet (on the van, not the door).
Pull the cable and connector out through the hole.
Then, with a mate supporting the door, remove the spline bolts to remove the door completely.
Reverse these steps to refit the door.
