If you’re talking about a T6.1 the main beam/DRL is an H15 bulb and is very fiddly to change. I had to remove the air filter box to get at the offside bulb. There is a terminal block on the end of the bulb on top of the connectors and the bulb has 3 or 4 metal blade connectors and the bulb needs to be turned or twisted slightly to release it. I found a video on YouTube that illustrated the process, I think it was from Transporter HQ on fitting headlights to a T6. Good luck

Hi I have H7 (I think - they look like it at the front) in both main and dip, but completely different fiiting on the rear of the mains. The dip was easy (fiddly) but cany budge the mains.

Correction! Looking again this morning, the outside lamps are def H7, the inside, I am not sure.... the drivers handbook appears to be incorrect in saying they are both H7. Pics attached of the outside and inside of each housing.

You need to disconnect the wiring plug, then twist the bulb a 1/8 of a turn anticlockwise. The link above shows the bulb. With the plug attached, it won't rotate past the tabs on the bulb holder.

Thanks! I have to be honest, an H15 s a new one on me! Apparently quite rare, and because of this I now discover that there are no real upgrades for them (night breaker wise) Only other option now, is to look at complete replacement of the lighting gear. Thanks again - T6 newby.

H15s have been around at least since the Mk6 Golf, so 2008/9. The aftermarket took a long while before it produced any upgraded bulbs in that fitment, but now there are a few. Osram do a "Cool Blue" halogen bulb (c.£50 a pair) and Twenty20 do an LED bulb (c.£85 a pair) Not exactly cheap.

It has been mentioned a few times that Transporter HQ are working towards providing a replacement headlight for the T6.1, which will be along the lines of the LED lookalike one for the T6. So I'd hang on until they are available before buying expensive bulbs or doing a full OEM LED retofit.

Thanks for that :) As has been said many times, I really find it amazing that in this day and age manufacturers are still fitting candle powered halogens to vehicles. My last 3 cars all had led as standard. But this has all been mulled over. So as you suggest, lets sit and wait to see what emerges out there :) Thanks again
