H4 Headlight bulb Upgrade - Osram Ultra

I've just replaced my headlights with new osram ultra bright h4 bulbs which seem great by the way. However the little metal clip arm that holds the main bulb in has nothing to clip onto, it looks like the bit it hooks onto has snapped off the body when I unclipped it. The protective cover is back on and it seems to hold it in place ok. Will this be OK? If not, has anyone else had this happen, I'm not sure how to resolve other than a bit of duct tape maybe?? Thanks all.

Unfortunately the piece the clip fixes into is part of the headlight, if you have snapped that off then there is no fix other than replacing the headlight

Good news is they are plentiful and cheap on ebay as lots of people swap them.

You sure its snapped off - they are pretty fiddly to get back in!

Pretty sure yeah. I ran out of light though so will have another look in the morning. Typically it's about 2 weeks out of warranty too so can't even moan to the dealer. Pretty poor if it has snapped though. I'll try and get a picture tomorrow. Thanks for the replies guys.

Also. Do you think it will hold ok without the clip?
