Hard Wiring In A Cheap 230v Battery Charger.

Hi everyone,
I have a small RAC HP157 smart battery charger lying around in the house. It was cheap off eBay. I can't get to the leisure battery under my seat to clip on the crocodile clips to charge it, so I'm thinking of permanently attaching it to the terminals and just plugging it into my mains hook up system in the van. I'll probably have it turned on for a few hours when I connect till the battery's full and then just switch it off at the socket. We rarely stay more than a night anywhere, at least without driving somewhere during the day. So the most it will be plugged in is overnight.

I have a split charge system at the moment (I know) which I plan on replacing. But the budget for the van has been reached, so I'm trying to look for answers with out spending loads more cash.

I just want to check there isn't something I've missed and my family goes down in a cheap charger-related fireball.
Cheers.

Don't waste your time, it won't charge you're battery correctly.

Haha! Just what I want plugged in under my sleeping baby’s head!

We’ll scrap that idea then!

Nothing comes cheap in this game, does it?
