Headlight auto adjustment for Europe H7 bulbs

Have previously used Eurolites fitted at 7 o'clock position to the bulb as per instruction leaflet but I'm not convinced they work at all as quite often get flashed up when driving at night in Europe, have looked at getting cover/converters but are only available for the T6 and on the advert says not T6.1.

After a phone call to our local VW van centre the guy in parts said there's nothing listed for the T6.1 but he would speak to technical and call me back, the reply was no adjustment required the car will know by GPS when it's in Europe and adjust the headlights automatically. Has anyone had any experiences with this as it sounds to good to be true

Automatically adjusting H7s is cobblers. The beam is produced by the shape of the reflector, so all that can be done is blanking part of it off with a sticker. All you can really do is put the Eurolites stickers on with dipped beam shining against a flat surface. You need to blank off the flick up to the left, so the 7 o'clock position is about right, but probably needs a bit of trial and error positioning. It's OK to do this in this country before you leave as you are blanking off part of the beam, not redirecting it.

As said above by Dubber. The auto switching is not for halogen (H7) headlights. I’m not even convinced it’s as clever as that for OEM LED headlights either. I’ve had VWs that will warn to drive on the right from the GOS, but the headlight adjustment (for LED headlights) is manual via the menu, or not needed at all as the beam is flat. It’s certainly possible for it to be automatic (again, LED only) and maybe the newer vehicles have that option which is where their confusion comes from?

Thanks for the replies I thought that would be the case just trying to fob me off, have just received a pair of beam benders to try, if that don't work will be the trial and error way against a wall:)
