Headlight cable? Any ideas?

Hi all, upgraded my factory headlights at the weekend to Transporter HQ v3 and came across this cable which had been cut… the lights work fine and I’ve just cable tied the mystery cable- just wondering if anyone knows what it was for? Picture with new lights in- massive improvement! Also if you’re thinking of doing this be aware of an extra T20 Torx under wheel arch just past the trim push fitting which doesn’t appear on THQ’s fitting video! Maybe specific to some vans I guess. Picture of cable and van with lights fitted.

That isn't a VW connector, so best bet would be to trace it back to its origin.

It looks a bit like the wiring for aftermarket DRLs. There's been a bit of wire tampering going on at the headlight plug by the looks.

Yes looked through service history and found a receipt for DRL headlight supply and fit- must have gone back to original lights for some reason! Thanks all
