Headliner and Hardboard Panel Removal

So, my first van purchase 2016 T6 Transporter panel van, need to remove all wall and ceiling panelling to soundproof and insulate, managed to remove the wall panels ok but the roof panel is proving a little challenging, how are these panels fixed, are the screwed, studded or other, don't want to apply too much pressure and rip/break the panel. Found these fixings on other panels tried to unscrew with correct fitting but cant seem to remove, wondering if these are the same fittings that are holding the roof panel in place.Screenshot 2024-03-09 at 18.40.53.png

Yes they are the same just a different colour. Just use a small flat head screwdriver in the hole and gently prise it out. This leaves another peice in place sometimes. This just falls out. To refit, reverse it. Nice and easy.

Cheers JDC, just found this
the roof looks likes its been carpeted over in place, no to find the fixings and remove

Even easier way to remove the clips, is a small screw (like a numberplate screw) in a small pair of mole grips.

Screw the screw in a turn, then pull the clip out.

Most of mine came out with a hex bit to wind out the centre pin, and a forked trim tool to pull out the rivet. Think of it like a rawlplug with a screw in it.
