Heated front seat

Hi all

I spoke to my conversation company about removing the double front seat and fitting a single captain seat

I ask them if it was possible to have the new seat heated and they said no

Is this because it is not achievable or is it because they need to fit a heated captain seat

Are all captain seats heat capable and could I do it my self after

Hi, are your existing seats heated? I think its quite involved to retro fit genuine heated seats. There are different control modules available for different years and its not just a plug and play exercise.
There are a few threads on here where people have bought the wrong ones in error.
I have seen a few aftermarket kits available on ebay etc with heating pads and little switches that others have fitted into the button blanks on the dash. Not sure on the wiring though.
If you do have a heated bench seat already I would have thought it would be a straight swap for a heated single as the wiring and switches are there already.
Have a search as I am sure it will have been covered before.

Yes it is a heated double seat being swapped, so if its a stright swap then I guess the conversion company are not fitting heated captain seats

Can you buy heated captain seats after market or original ?

Yes you can you need to buy a single seat that’s heated though. You will also need to fool the occupancy sensor too if you have a 6.1
Or you could fit car seats.
