Can anyone help a newbie? Just went to open the door, and the whole lock assembly just came away.

Help! Drivers door lock assembly just comes out!

Open the door and take the bung off in line with the lock, there should be a torx screw. It's probably come loose. Put the lock back in and tighten it up. If the screw isn't there it may mean door card off.
If it's anything like the old mk4 golf with the barrel removed anything can then turn the mechanism to unlock it.
