Hah - could have spent the money on an Angle grinder instead of a locksmith.Angle grinder rather than butter knife.
Think the mechanism is bust so that wouldn't work. Some of those circular locks aren’t keyed well and if you’re desperate, have a go with an old biro.
Probably not the first one they'd removed! The skill comes from knowing how hard to hit the thingI tried for a couple of hours but we were going away so had to get a locksmith out (after the AA said it wasn't covered).
They basically hit the key into the lock with a hammer and twisted vigorously (a technique I had already tried but obviously without the right expertise or vigour). The speed with which they got it off made me feel an idiot
An expensive mistake but after it was removed I couldn't open it again!
Any other recommendations? These come in at £150 (or £288 for diamond Ed). Not wanting to be skinflint but was a bit shocked at the price.(size: small)Disklok UK

I think I should explain that that the butter knife in the picture was to slide between the outer and the inner to unjam the mobility rather than to pick the lock (or cut it off ).Angle grinder rather than butter knife.
Sorry mate, the Devil made me do it.I think I should explain that that the butter knife in the picture was to slide between the outer and the inner to unjam the mobility rather than to pick the lock (or cut it off ).
