Help Needed - Can't close the slider door

The door latch on the slider is tuck in the closed position ams I am unable to close the door. Any ideas how to release the latch?

Did you try with interior and exterior handle?

You will need to take off the interior sliding door panel
Put your arm up towards the latch on the back of the door give it a wiggle and I bet it will spring free

Most likely the cable is stuck

Had the same issue had to bungie the door shut not good for 200mile drive home

Same thing happened to me. I had to remove the internal panel and release the catch from there

I have just managed to get the slider closed. Lots of keys operations and slider door button pressing, and bingo the door is now locked. The power latching didn't operate, so thats more investigative work 2morrow.

Thanks for all your offers of ideas/ solutions in my hour of need. Typical of the people on this board, always willing to offer a helping hand.

I’ve had a similar thing happen a couple of times, fortunately always on my driveway. Door would slam shut but didn’t catch and bounced open.

First time I spent about an hour trying to fix it and then walked away out of frustration. Came back an hour later and it shut first go. So the next time it happened I didn’t bother faffing, just left it an hour and when I came back sure enough it closed again!

Fingers crossed it hasn’t happened again for a while now.
