Help Please Drl Kit From Forum Shop Oem

I have an 18 plate High-line with LED HEAD lights, I was being greedy and asked for these to be fitted too !

But they struggling by sound of it

Anyone offer some help please ?

We have fitted these today and followed the wiring step by step, was an issue with the relay buzzing / sticking, we have metered all the cables and as the power takes the feed from the passenger head lamp its causing issues with the LED strip light - we have called the help line and they have said that we need to speak to the dealer that they were purchased from and then they will speak to them……pointless exercise, but it is VW that we are dealing with - have you these details please and I will kick ass in the morning.

You don’t need any of the relay wiring just connect the three cores on the flex straight to the van

Sorry. I’m a bit dim when comes to this stuff.

There are three wires coming from the DRL kit that are black/blue/red these can be connected straight to the van with no relays etc that come with the kit
Black = negative and goes straight to the van body/ground
Red = 12v ignition supply and can be powered from terminal 8 on the LED headlight plug
Blue = 12v supply from headlight (to dim DRLs when lights active) and I can’t remember which terminal this goes too hopefully someone else who has done this will confirm if not I can get the info tomorrow

Not done this mod myself . . . . but.

Looking at this the DIM(blue) maybe one of these.

Yellow/White/Grey or Grey&Black

I know @Eddcameron has the DRL LED’s along with LED headlights so it’s doable..
