Help removing spoiler

I have a Transporter going in to for a pop top fitting next month and I want to remove the spoiler as I want to reshape and refit it once the pop top is in. I’ve been going at the bond with heat and fishing wire all afternoon today but I just can’t get past this last bit. Do I just need to keep going? Does anyone have any tips, ideas or a better way of getting this off?

Jav a look inside the van it may have been bolted down as well as the glue if there is no bolts you can find then just persevering with it should help remove it

That's what has got me stumped. It does feel bolted down, but this is the view from the inside. The bolts would come in somewhere where I've marked, but that piece of metal appears to be welded to the roof...

Getting somewhere! So got a photo here of that metal framing the roof from another angle and tucked (really tucked) in there is this little bolt! This just leads to more questions I my mind.

How did it get installed like this? Bolt is probably the wrong word. It looks like a bad weld that was hammered in.

How do I get it out?!

If there is movement on the spoiler above I would try lift it slightly and see if you can cut it off from the top with a saw put plenty of duct tape or something similar down so you don’t damage the roof

Movement in the range of millimetres. I’ll give it a go tomorrow. Just need to find a saw that will fit now! Thanks for your help

Cordless isolating Milwaukee works well use mine for all sorts just make sure you protect the roof and your welcome happy to help
