I’ve got a factory SWB 6.1 Kombi with twin sliding doors and tailgate (no bulkhead).
It’s standard in the back with bare paint and fibreboard panels.
A friend has done a couple of vans and works on luxury yacht interiors so we’re going to give it a go.
Can anyone help me with:
- recommended products for sound deadening, insulating and carpet.
- where to buy.
- Quantities we’d need for each, and also anything else?
I want to use all one colour carpet - dark grey apart from the ceiling which I’d try and match the cab - light grey.
We intend to carpet the wood panels and the bare parts of the van (wheel arches, around the shell of the van and above the sliding doors). We won’t be doing the doors or tailgate parts- just the wood as described. Like the photo - but not different colours.
Any assistance with this is appreciated!
I found the quotes eye watering to be honest, prices seem to have gone have 100-150% from the last time I had this done 10yrs ago.
Thank You.
