Help with seats

Hi all,

First time posting here.

We're just about to start the conversion of our T6, so i'm looking for advice on what to do with seating. We currently have a double bench up front and a triple bench in the back. The vehicle used to be a Addison Lee van so I think the emphasis was on loading up with passengers and having plenty of room for luggage in the back.

We're think the rear seats will be replaced with a rock n roll before from Fabworx, and the dream is to have two swivel captain seats in front. Basically i need some advice on how the sell the seats we've got, so we can hopefully afford the two captain seats. I'm starting to think we might have an issue as the majority of places I'm finding on the internet require a like for like exchange as part of the deal. Seeing as we don't have a captains seat to exchange are we going to struggle?

Where would be the best place to look for replacement seats?
Where would be the best place to sell our rear triple bench?

I’d look at selling the lot together so it all matches. If you become a VIP member on here then you could sell it here with the floor and tie down points and underbody mounts for the rear seat

Thanks airhoguk, it would be great if I could get rid of the lot all in one hit, I was considering the VIP Membership anyway, I figure there maybe some useful info to access via the upgraded account.

Would you have any idea on how much I get get for all that? Guess I can continue doing a bit of diggin to find out rough valuations of items.

To be honest I’m not sure value wise. There’s someone selling just the rear seat and floor etc likes your for £1500 but I’d have a look around and see what others are asking for similar as a complete seat interior is quite rare to see being sold

Have you tried places like T6cotswold Parts in Evesham? they might take the whole lot and give you two captains seats in exchange or for only a small amount more ££ from you? granted you probably wont get as good a price as a private sale but might make life easy? could probably swap them on a near enough drive in drive out basis (provided you have removed the rear floor brackets prior).

If you want swivel seats its worth considering OEM factory swivels. T6cotswolds parts usually carry stock but they are quite pricey, however when you compare the cost to two new single seats plus swivel plates its comparable. I found the factory swivels to be rock solid and much better than aftermarket swivels but do you research on here as not all people agree as if you are really tall you loose the height adjustment. however now going off topic but food for thought..

Based on current prices I would say realistically the rear is probably worth £1200 with brackets floor etc and the front £300 for both the drivers and the bench. It might make it a bit trickier to sell as they have been retrimmed so may restrict the buyers as unless they but the whole set they wont match any other seats. The rear triple bench is the least desirable out off all the kombi options so bear that in mind. Asking prices have got even more silly recently so sold prices on ebay etc might give a more realistic idea.
