Help with setting the mirror cover in place

New van to me and all that and noticed the mirror cover is loose...

Read a few things on here about how much of a pain they are to remove, but what about clipping it back in position from this point?

Pics below current state....don't want to go pushing on it if its clipped wrong and will damage it!

The clips at the top have not located in the correct place. The only way you'll fix that is to remove the mirror cap and re fit it. You can see the central pin in the image below should be located in a corresponding hole in the mirror surround.

Gotcha, will look for the removal post and carry out the procedure!

Any top tips so I don't destroy thr clipping!
