Hi all looking to get into a t6

Hi all have been convinced, my next van is going to be a t6 from a good friend in a t5 .

At the moment I've been driving a Renault traffic sport ( don't laugh ) with a few bits and bobs done to her as its my daily run around as I have a disabled twin in a wheel chair and 2 10 stone dogs which I water train .

Not looking to replace within about 8 mths as to gather some more savings and do a deal with a trade in and some cash and finance the rest , maybe HP or PCP , also want to do a little more research and pick some brains . ( do this with all my vehicle purchases ) .

I like to hav my cars with some toys as I'm used to gadgets in the BMW's we have had and in finding VW can accommodate this like heated seats , sat nav and the like I know it won't be as much as surround cameras and head ups displays , but looking at the VW configure website it's more than Renault do .

So far I've ruled out the sportline and I like the idea of a high spec highline Kombi , it will have to have some form of wheel chair clamping and I'll have a cage fitted behind the middle seats for the dogs which I'll make removable as I need the full rear space for a quad , which is used to launch the jetskis.

So far I want the 2+1 rear seats , heated seats ,DSG and I'm liking the comfort dash , the cosmetic exterior ie wheels , body kit , etc etc can be added as I go .

Anyone with 4 motion think it's really worth the option or can live with a winter wheel set ( which I currently run with the Renault)

Looked at transportland and Leighton vans and there quite few ££££ difference between like for like models , ?? Why .

Will try main dealers also as I'll be vat except with it being my disabled daughters transport , but not expecting big discounts .

Sorry for such the long post , I'm off to read a few threads as I'm a nightshirt taxi driver so great to past time and I'll probably pick a few brains in the coming mths

Thanks Paul

Welcome @whitey, wow certainly sounds like some toys you got there, a quad and jet ski’s (plural). A T6 will definately be the right vehicle to go with those toys.
I tend to agree with you about the sportline, you don’t get a lot more for the extra money, and a well specced highline will be more than a match.
My family is in to sailing, and the one thing I wish I had was 4 motion just to make getting around sailing clubs and slipways a bit less daunting.

I’d Defo add the LED F&R Lights & Electric Folding Mirrors to that probably ever expanding list!

After reading a few threads there are quite a few regret not getting LEDS and the folding mirrors we have on the wife's 330 tourer come in handy in tight spots , but the VW ones don't fold that much do they ( in another thread )

It's more for winter driving than slipway launching , not many slipways up here in Scotland I've had any issues with , why I got the quad and a separate launch dolly for the ski's .

If I could I'd probably have every option ( wouldn't we all ) but need to pull the reins back a few times on spending ( well the wife really ) , do have a few mths ahead to get it right , but all input and opinions welcome .

Google Transporterland and have a look at their

Think I'll cross them off my list , while I did find happy customers buying vans from there , seems quite a few were not happy about after sales and quite a few had peeling/chipping paint issuses .

I would not purchase a car without LED lights , a lot of money but without doubt worth it !
