Hi from New Zealand! I have just bought a beautiful bright yellow 2005 VW Kombi Beach and I am slowly familiarising myself with all its charms. I’ll be posting lots of questions as she is my first VW. So will be very grateful for any info or tips. The plan is to lots of camping trips in her with a little bit of commuting to work.

Welcome @Acks73! Love NZ, spent a couple of months back in the 90’s touring the North and the adrenaline packed South Island in a hire camper, Nissan think it was….cough cough…had an amazing time parking for free wherever was suitable in some amazing spots. Is it still like that?

Yes we are very lucky in little old NZ! I have just seen the page “where have you been in your van today” so will try to remember to post our adventures!
We still have freedom camping spots but now rules and regulations about how long you can stay and how you can claim to be self contained.
