HiLo PopTop - mattress

You may struggle with space in the HiLo, depending on how flat that mattress will go.
@Ozi, @russ_e or @Honest_Bertie mught be able to tell you this as a search shows they’ve bought the same brand.

I’ve got a SWB HiLo Sport and think the bed measures 118cm wide, but this was fitted in 2017 so may well be different to their current spec. Whichever you choose, you won’t want the mattress touching the sides as it may bridge and subsequently bring in damp.
Here’s a cheap and simple solution:
I’m cant speak for a HiLo roof, as I have an SCA roof, but I can’t leave my sea to summit up there when the roof is down, even if deflated unfortunately.

But it’s a great mattress, and well worth the investment. I just tend to roll it loosely when deflated and put it on the parcel shelf behind the seats.

We’ve just had a Hilo roof fitted so I have been looking into this and I’ve seen someone in another post using the outdoor revolution camp star top of the pops 75 in a Hilo roof. I’m not sure if it was suitable to be left in place with the roof dow.

We measured the width of ours, and had a foam medium firm 3cm thick mattress made up from Efoam UK. 3cm is the thickest you can have if you want to leave it up there when closed. We then ordered same mattress again at 3cm thick but asked them to cut it in half. We put up in roof when it’s up. When taking second mattress down, and because it’s in two parts, it’s much easier to store them away than one large mattress. We leave the other up there. It’s quite comfortable when sleeping up there.

It comes with electric pump that plugs in your 12v cigarette socket and fully inflates in just over a minute and the pump also sucks all the air out when you want to deflate it, it's so comfortable as well with a velvet like material on the top surface. The size is a perfect fit, so it can't get trapped, but would be a tight sqeeze for two adults, but not an issue for us as I sleep upstairs as I like to spread out, and the wife sleeps downstairs.

Glad it works for you, but "never leak" is a dubious claim - I've used many inflatable mattresses in 20+ years of tenting and, to a greater or lesser extent, they've all deflated over the course a few nights. Of course, if you're deflating and reinflating every time you want to move the van, that may not matter anyway. :)

Having said all the above, this isn't a solution for us, as me and Mrs Bav both sleep "upstairs" and our combined weight exceeds 300lbs, albeit only marginally.

Just ordered one of these.

it fits the bed board perfect and still leaves enough head room at the back end as its about 20cm high when inflated and it gives about 75mm clearance on each side so no fear of it touching the pop top canopy, just make sure you reverse the pump when deflating it to suck out all the air, its works brilliantly, and just pull the flattened mattress forward slightly so that the air valve hangs over the bedboard into the recess that way it sits perfectly between the sliding panel.
mine is left up there now and it is so comfortable to use, as far as wether it will leak only time will tell, but my thoughts are that because its left in position and not being dragged about and rolled back up time and again should help matters.
Only hassle I had was that when I placed my order, my bank blocked the transaction because they thought it was a unusual transaction as i don't normally order off Amazon dot com. it took a week for them to unblock the card, but once payment went through it arrived in less than 10 days.

@Wilson61 Mattress worked like a charm while my wife and son slept up there for 3 weeks during a trip round Scotland. It must be very comfy as she usually gets sore hips and never complained once. Thanks again for sharing.

Hi, glad to here that, we ordered another for the rock & roll bed and the fact they take up no space once deflated is perfect for us.
