Just needs a bit of “finessing” but it’s basically all there. A sheet and a half of 18mm ply is all you need.

I like this. I'm thinking about my plans for an easily removable 1 person bed (about 65cm wide to accomodate my mat), which folds flat for storage and can be used either side

Once you have made these, you can make the width of the bed whatever you like.

Its not my design I just copied it from pics on the net. 2 sheets of good quality 18mm ply cost me £74 and the hinge was £8. But there’s no reason why you don’t make it out of cheaper wood. As long as it’s strong enough.

could use MDF but it’s not as good in my opinion

I’m sure it would take the weight as it’s on edge, but I’m about 15 stone and I’m not getting any lighter! So I built it solid. I made it up as I went along Using pics off the net but I’ll do a drawing tomorrow and post it on here.

Hi there are some vids on You Tube for bed / pull out and fixed systems and also the forty winks kombi …
We are going to try and go for the Ovano switch but god it’s sooooo epensive so are looking for alternatives as hubby def not a carpeted lol !

My carpentry skills are non-existent so I bought mine for about £280.

Mine is only 3/4 width too with the idea of storing the bike at the side. Not happened though and I kind of wish I'd bought the full width version.
