How can the front (passenger) seat in a Caravelle be removed?

Was going to have a look at following Loz's guide to installing the CTEK battery to battery charger kit from Travelvolts today but, as is often the case for me with car stuff, I have fallen at the first hurdle!

What type of bit would I need for this bolt (I believe these are the fixing bolts at the rear)?


And where are the other bolts for the front part of the seat? Mine (electric without swivel) doesn't look much like Loz's Cali.

Its a ZXN or sometimes referred to as a spline bit .

Best get yourself a set as they are everywhere.

Halfords sell a nice little set, comes in handy whenever taking the van to bits

I think you have to slide the seat fully back to expose the bolts at the front.

Thanks for the replies guys. Will grab a spline set today, hopefully.

Still not solved the location of the front bolts though, the photo I took is of the seat as far back is it will go. It looks like the workings of the electric seat may need to be removed somehow in order to reveal the bolts? No idea where to start.

I would take out the rear bolts first, it's possible the front slides in to a bracket or clip and would release if the seat could be pulled back? I'm sure @kiter has retro fitted the electric seats and may be able to assist?

Mystery solved! There were plastic caps which just prize off to reveal the bolts. Simple
