Apologies in advance because I am sure that this is a stupid question, and of course one that depends on what van, what wheel, what tyre etc. etc.
So...
I park in a 2m height car park every day, so I need to be very careful about raising the van profile. I'm not intending to do any real off-road work- this is purely for aesthetics because I love the more Swamper style look
Van is 2020 VW T6.1 startline, 16 inch stock wheels
I'd love to switch my ugly steelies with Halfords covers, to something like this...
But my experience of tyres and wheels comes 100% from motorcycles, and I've no idea about switching out tyres and wheels on a van (beyond the very standard checking of ratings etc.)
Question:
Assuming I stick with 16 inch wheels, is there a way to calculate how certain tyres will raise the profile of the van, adding an extra X inches etc.? Or do I just need to pick one that looks not too much bigger, and chance it?
Cheers all, please take pity
