What's available nowadays? We were quite old school in the last van having just a DVD player and older phones, nowadays we're better equipped with good phones, just wondering if there's a way of avoiding DVDs and perhaps get something we can download a few films onto and or perhaps get some TV or Music loaded onto as well, What does everyone else use?

I'm a bit of a technophobe - through age and laziness rather than antintech ideology - so watching with interest to see if there are easy tips to be had.

Just an add on, I don't have any windows in the back half of the van so when laying in bed there's a 270 arc (at least) of blind spot to the rear of the vehicle. It would be nice if I could add a security camera to cover that area (ish) that could perhaps patch into any 'TV' screen fitted maybe. I already have a reversing camera on the 6.1

We have a tablet, wifi and a BT speaker.

So Netflix, iPlayer, IPTV etc.

Get yourself a 12v Tv and a fire stick.
Increase your data on your phone and hotspot the fire stick off your phone.
Stream Netflix bbc iPlayer etc.
sounds complicated but it’s a dodle.

My wife and I download films to an ipad, from Disney+ or Prime and watch them together on that. Nice and cosy. Or, I watch them on my own with bluetooth headphones when she is reading.

Pop up screen, cheap chinese projector from either amazon or ali express, then add a firestick and connect firestick to mobile phone data. Bluetooth the projector to the van speakers for the sound and bingo.

The projector has built in you tube and a few other apps but the firestick means you can play almost anything.

That sound ideal! I'll look into that, thanks! Would it be able to focus within the length of the van interior?

Yes My screen sits at the front of the pop top area on the left and right edges and the projector near the hinge for the pop top.
I have seen it used in a LWB (mine) and a friends SWB
