Im getting some Cali rails installed, but am looking for a ply floor to fit. Because the ply floor sites higher to match the rails then it needs to be a little bigger in certain parts.

So, I am asking if anyone has seen a ply floor for sale that is specifically for this height and will fit properly. Otherwise it seems I will have to just get a normal size floor and live with the gaps :(.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jon, some might correct me but I believe the rails are the same as the Caravelle and it’s on 18mm OSB 3.

Hi, thanks. Yes but an OEM Cali floor won't work for me for several reasons. The main one being mine is LWB and Cali are SWB. Also I have an OEM rubber floor and 12mm ply with altro on brings it to the right height.

I don't think it's actually that much bigger. You can make the top layer bigger or put trim round the edge like I think slidepods do

Most of the way round I agree, its just in a LWB there are 2 bits that slope quite a lot, and will leave a gap. (I think it's where the chassis cross rails are, one right behind the sliding door and one right in front of the wheel arch). I think the SWB maybe just has one. Hopefully someone can take a photo.
Thanks

Are you still looking for a floor, did you know that Titan beds use the Cali/Caravelle rail system?

So you could broaden your search to include installers that fit these beds (and therefore the raised floor), instead of the smaller pool of Cali specialists.

Maybe Titan themselves could sort you out with a floor - M1 tested Rock and Roll Beds. Gas safety Lockers. | Titanbeds Ltd | England
Thank. I realised this. I talked to them on the phone when i was looking to buy rails. They were only willing to sell rails if i ordered the bed as well. I css as nt see them selling a floor but will try later.

I'm looking to get a floor for my swb T6.1 also and I have called a few converters with no luck I have had the caravelle 4 rails fitted. Any help with this would be amazing

Hello. I have just read your question and was wondering if you could post t some pictures of the floor rails fitted , I’m looking at adding Caravelle rails to my lwb t6. Can I also ask where and how much the floor rails cost you please and who fitted them

I did this to my LWB, the price of the bars new with all the fittings was about 2.2k from VW. You can put SWB bars in which are around 900 quid and just lose 18".
