Insulating and carpeting soon lay a cable for a rear camera?

So I’m going to be carpeting and insulating our van in the next week or two and still haven’t decided on a stereo etc I will be pulling cables through for the kitchen and all electrics etc and thought it’s the best time to pull a cable from the front to the back for a reverse camera to save aggravation later!

am I right in thinking all I will need to run is the yellow video cable? As the power and switch can be drawn from the rear lights?

also is there a preferential route for the cable to avoid interference?

Can’t help you with the video cable, but put some spare power wires in too. For the cost of the wire, it’s worth it !

If you’ve not boarded yet run a piece of poly pipe down the side front to rear incase you want to run extras at anytime

I’ve got a 22mm length in mine, trick is to get an air line and blow a length of string through then tie about ten strands on and pull through tape it either end then your good for the future

fwiw . . . . i use these a lot too. (if the fish tape is to flexable, and you need a stiffer rod)
