Folks, first post on here! Basically my left hand DRL does not always operate. An obvious problem might have been the bulb was gone. Might have also thought it was a wiring issue. However, they do work when I lock the van they come on, which is weird and frustrating. Tomorrow morning, I might turn the van on and all will be well again, until at some point (could be that morning or a week later), I get a quick headlight flashing from an incoming vehicle, which is then my que that the DRL is sulking again! Happy to provide photos but not sure these would add anything. Any ideas what to check/repair/replace? Thanks in advance!

I had a dodgy sidelight bulb that messed me around for a while , would work fine when tested , swapped around etc but then it would randomly go off .
I messed around with the plug and wiring , cleaned contacts etc to prove everything and it would be fine for a week ....then randomly go off again .
Eventually fitted some new bulbs and .... 'ta daa' mended as if by magic.
My advice would be replace or at least swap the bulbs from side to side first .
