iPad for the van

After some iPad advice, I’m thinking of buying the new 13” iPad Air as my current iPad is becoming obsolete.
I was going for the non cellular one and planning on using my iPhone (14) to hotspot with, if WiFi isn’t available. In the van.
Also, can you connect an external speaker to the iPad and have the hotspot running which also uses Bluetooth at the same time?
Is it worth paying more for the cellular iPad, it will only be used at home on WiFi , or for watching YouTube etc when away in the van.
Trying to keep costs realistic
Thanks for any advice

I’d go for the non cellular one.
There’s only the odd live sport I use my phone’s mobile data on.
I download films/ tv series before leaving the house.
You connect your phone to iPad over the WiFi connection, no over Bluetooth.

Yes you can connect an external speaker, ( mostly are over Bluetoth ) but I think the sound from speakers is adequate, but I use my AirPods mostly when watching something on my own.
