iPhone bluetooth connection problems

Is anyone else having bluetooth connection problems with their iPhones? Mine drops out when its playing music then a call arrives, or won't answer then drops out. I've deleted the phone off the van and the van off the phone, then re-installed, but the problem still remains. I have done an update on the phone recently, but I'm sure it was playing up before that. I know there is absolutley no point in contacting the VW dealer, so the internet is my only option. Help!

Not had any problems with ours which is an iPhone 5S & a 6S on a discover media head unit but TBH dont stream that much mainly just calls and always worked fine

The only issue I've got is that my phone starts playing music as soon as it pairs - probably a simple fix, just not looked into it yet.

One thing I really like is that both of our phones can pair at the same time - our other cars have only been able to pair with one device at once meaning the first of us to get in the car usually got the Bluetooth connection.

I can't fault the Bluetooth with our iPhones tbh. This is the first I have had with a system that can have more than 1 phone connected at any 1 time meaning that I dint have to swap the connection to use each device.

I run a note 5 and the connection/bluetooth is spot on ever time, phone and music

I've done a bit of reading around, and it appears to be quite common with the new IOS update. Good old Apple. It now seems as though I will have to wait for the next update with a fix attached.

I wonder if it's also model related because ours are on the latest IOS (10.1.1) and all is good.

If the phone came from a network company e.g. Vodafone they run some of there own software that can effect the way they work . Mine is on Vodafone and works ok.
I have the standard unit and would like to find a way for it to read the texts out if possible with a iPhone if anyone can help.

Mine is a iPhone 6s on IOS 10.1.1 also, on a standard head unit (Composition Media ).

iPhone 6 on EE. The Bluetooth disables and turns off the composition Colour (PQ) infotainment unit every 30 seconds, then back on again. Doesn't do it with wife's iPhone 7+ or if I turn Bluetooth off.

Damned frustrating

New IOS, new bluetooth connection problems. My wife has just updated to IOS 11.0.3 and when it connects to my van the bluetooth drops out every 30 secs or so, then reconnects. My phone is on IOS 10, and works perfectly fine, but my new iPhone arrives this week and I will have no choice but to use it. The last time this happened it was a combination of software updates from VW and Apple to sort it. Is anyone else having problems?

iPhone 7 - originally on iOS 10 and upgraded to iOS 11 (11.0.3) - no problems with bluetooth connectivity seen so far.

Someone else reported this the other day so seems there is a bug between VW unit and ios11.0.3

Are there ever software updates for the VW media units software (other than the maps/cameras etc)?

I have iphone 7 and its spot on - selling it soon if anyone wants an 11 month old 128gb Jet Black one.

God I miss the headphone jack lol

Gone from iPhone 7 back to 5 after a car ran over my 7, to be honest there ain't much difference in any of them apart from screen size.
