Is this normal for a poptop roof

Hi all

I had a skyline pop top fitted on my camper build and it doesn't look right to me so I am hoping somebody could help

The roof appears to be a dip at the rear near the solar panel and when it rains there is water pooling in that area

I would imagine roofs are designed to disperse water not hold on to it

If this is not correct I can only think there is a faultls with the roof or the fibre glass has warped in the oven after painting

Could this be linked to my other post about the gap at the rear corner

Any help would be great

Thanks

Yeah I don't think you should have that level of pooling, maybe a little in pouring rain but not to that extent and it should run off fairly soon after.

Related to your other post about the gap, if you push the roof down an extra cm does the the water start to run off?

No the roof is solid

Is there no play at all? If I push down on mine I can see it move a little on the rubber seal.

Just tried it

It ony moves the tinny bit not even enough to close the gap on the rear corner

So it definitely doest affect the water on the roof

Definitely sounds like the roof needs a little adjustment to being the angle of the roof back towards the back of the van.

I would certainly have a word with the poptop installer, it shouldn't do that! There's potential for the water to follow the solar panel wires into the van
