Isofix in Back Row Transporter Shuttle

Hi everyone. we've found out that my wife is pregnant with twins. Already got 2 kids so need to upgrade and looking at options.

I've seen a 2016 Transporter Shuttle that I like. I know that the middle row of seats have isofix, but I need them in the back row too.

Am I right that the back rows don't have isofix? And if so, is it possible to retrofit isofix brackets? Or any other options?
Thanks

Back row is usually a triple seat, in the kombis with a triple isofix are on the two outer seats so I suspect the shuttle is too, hopefully someone can confirm but if not it would be dead easy and fairly cheap to put the kombi triple in its place, would clip straight in

As far as I know you can get isofix as an option on a new factory order (that is what I have done) but some seats come up on ebay with isofix at least on the two outer seats of the three seat rear bench. The other option is a bracket which fits in between the seat cushions and allows you to use isofixl. I have one of these from Amazon just in case I need an isofix on the front bench seat.

I have a shuttle that also only had isofix in the middle row, but I removed that row of seats. I bought a sort of universal isofix bracket and it does fit but was never really comfortable with it. Used it a few times then went back to a child seat that belts in. I’m sure I saw a rear triple bench for sale on here a while back that had isofix?

hi and welcome to the forum! Firstly, congratulations on your news. Secondly, you actually have the best choice vehicle for babies. I wish I had bought one when sprog #1 arrived rather than splash money on Freelanders and Discos. You can get all the baby crud (prams, seats, toys, nappy bags etc) into the van with ease! There are lots of isofix solutions out there so you can tick that box too!

Hi @MinibusDad, Congratulations on the good news!

We also have twins and with an older sibling, it’s why we got our 5 seat kombi originally but we’ve just upgraded to an 8 seat shuttle.

We currently have all three in the middle, twins ride outboard in maxi-cosi 2 way pearls fitn the family fix 2 base, eldest is in a maxi cosi rodifix. All are on isofix but the rodifix you can use with just seat belts, so they’ll go in the back. We’re about 4-6 months away from putting the twins into the rodifix seats but have just bought a second in anticipation (need a 3rd one but it has to match). Tried it with in the week and worked like a charm.

A short term solution could be to take the third row bench out and get hold of a single middle middle seat, the floor mounts should be the same from what I can see.

I suppose it hinges on age/ size/ weight of your eldest kids.
