Issues with T6.1 vehicle battery?

Picked up our 2021 T6.1 a couple of weeks ago - still trying to iron out a few niggles and issues (the oil level issue ).

It's a new camper conversion installed with Sargent EC50 leisure battery and control panel. The leisure battery shows 5 lights and the van battery has always shown 3 lights in the level display (not sure if this is in the normal range if the van battery is 12v?). Leisure batt seems to be charging fine.

Over the past week, the control panel has started beeping once when we turn on the ignition. When my husband got into it today, it started beeping multiple times and the 'vehicle select' LED light turned red (which has since disappeared). It is still showing the 3 lights in the level display.

We are completely new to this and no idea what's normal and what's not, etc.

Any suggestions or help would be v. much appreciated!!

Did you get any handover info when you bought the van, instructions, manuals etc? There are so many variations, combinations of how van electrics are put together that it's almost impossible to give any specific advice without knowing the details of the installation. The best people to ask in the first instance would be the converters.

How much have you driven the van? When was the last time it was driven?

The starter battery has a continuous drain, especially if you have a tracker installed. Do you have a readout of the starter battery voltage? A couple of weeks and mine is getting close to 12.0v (basically 50% charged).

One of these is useful, stick it in the dash 12v socket and look through the window before you unlock the van.

Bit more advanced, Bluetooth, get two and put one on the starter and one on the leisure battery:

Thanks for this! Some reading for my husband.....

This is our only car now so we drive the van every day - about 40ish miles between school drop-off/pick-up and getting to work. We drove it last yesterday (both of us have a rare WFH day today). No tracker!

We're going to try and get a readout asap, but we're only going by the display at the moment (all we have!)
