Issues with the DSG?

Hi all,

I seem to be having a few issues with my T6 at the moment (this is just one of them☹️)

Driving the van yesterday and had a really rough bang and a judder when setting off from a junction. Since then the van does not creep forward when in drive with the foot off the brake and no throttle, it does still move slowly when in reverse tho? It also rolls back when on any kind of hill where it used to hold position. Theres now even more lag when setting off from a junction than previously.

It feels to me like a clutch that’s slipping and making heavy contact on the gear changes.

The van has only done 25K, and would be shocked if something has failed.

It a 2018 4 motion with the 7 speed DSG.

Any help on what might be wrong would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

Sounds like one of the clutch packs has broken or the mechatronic valves controlling it have broken.
I suppose the best bet is find a specialist that can read and understand all the live diagnostic data, and go from there.

Definitely sounds like a garage job. I wouldn't drive it in case of further damage.

Yea im thinking the same unfortunately.

I drove it last night and every now and then when setting off it bangs and seems to skip the rear wheels. Gear changes are fine once moving. What was obvious to me when I first got the van was how it wants 7 gear very early, around 50mph. Is that normal as it seems low speed to me and the judder when you try and accelerate is crazy until it drops down a gear of two?

Don’t know what’s happened in this vans past but Iv already had to fit a new rear differential.

Feel like we got sold a dud. ☹️
