I mentioned that combined figure to a well known fitter, and he laughed and said unless you spend around 7k, you will only have trouble, even though those i've seen spend these insane amounts, have trouble anyway.

Don't look that low, I have seen lower. I might add my old mini had about 3" between the sump and deck
