Keeping warm in winter

Hi.
Just wanted to know if you guys go away in the winter months, what do you do to keep warm in the van.
Apart from the diesel heater , have any of you used heated blankets when on hookup? Or tried a different type of heater like an oil filled one to keep on all night?

Is there any tips on getting the diesel night heater air up into the pop top?

Thanks

Insulated roof cover (for the canvas) - makes a huge difference if you don't already have one.

Whatever method you use to heat the van interior it’s very important to ventilate to avoid a build up of moisture.

I have two 1" ducts that feed the warm air from the diesel heater up into the pop top area (front and rear)
They take about half of the output from the heater up into the top when it's open/up, the outlets are blocked off when the roof is closed so all the output goes into the lower van via the regular B pillar grille when in that position.
One runs inside the B pillar behind the driver and pops out right at the top via a 25mm hole, this then runs down inside the pop top bed support rail and up into the roof right at the back.
The other runs up inside the B pillar cover and pops out just above the driver's head.

I’ve seen a few of these in various Brands. Is there any preference?
Anything that provides insulation and blocks wind will be good, we had limited choice due to our roof so that's why we got the Pucer.

Other ones are perhaps more stylish and easier to store. As long as they have an insulated layer it will work. Have a search on the forum, lots of mentions as I recall of different brands.

Once I'm in bed I usually put the pop top down if I think it's going to be cold.
(Obviously not an option if someone is sleeping up there)
