Kenwood DNX516DAB

Hi all, this my first post
I’ve a t6 with a Kenwood DNX516DAB stereo that was a factory upgrade. (Not my choice) Everything was fine but now the stereo switches off when I drive over a bump it’s so frustrating.

I’ve removed it, checked the wiring and connectors and nothing appears faulty, that said I removed it today and now I can’t change the pre set radio stations using the steering wheel, doing this will only scan to the next station ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Any help/ support (other than replacing the unit ) would be much very appreciated.

I have same unit and also turns it’s self off every now and again when hit a harsh bump

When i spoke to Kenwood they said do a firmware update, but I can’t even do that as the unit won’t pick up the pen drive ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A firmware update for a device switching off when going over a large bump ? .. I see Kenwood technical support has not improved then ..

It’s fussy the format may have to done on the right version of windows .. I seem to remember that I could not use my mac .. basically I hate Kenwood products I tried them had all these sort of pita issues and eventually decided to never touch their products ever again .
