Hi all,

I have a 2018 SWB Kombi with the 2+1 seats on the 2nd row and my query is
Can I get the 2nd row seats to fold forward up against the rear of the front seats when traveling as I could in our VW Caddy Maxi Life as the seats are too heavy for me to lift out due to myself and my wife both being disabled and I would rather have them fold forward and if poss lock into that position and leave them like that until we require the extra seating
I can fold them forward to release the brackets to lift them out and I was thinking of trimming some metal off the bottom front brackets to try and allow them to fold further forward or is that advisable
Any help would be great Thanks in advance

I know that a 3 seat bench can do what you want, but as far as I'm aware on the 2+1 set-up you can only fold the backrest down or remove the seats altogether. I dont think i would go messing with the brackets, whatever metal is there is probably there for a good reason.

Hi Gavinda,
Thanks for the info as I was thinking it not a good idea to alter any metalwork as you say, I guess it will have to stay like that until we convert the van into a camper and have the seats at the rear as in a slide out rock n roll type bed but got to save up some pennies first, Thanks Gavinda we appreciate your input for us.

You could have 2 more brackets fitted so you can fit a triple bench instead of the 2+1. 2+1 probably sell on ebay for around same as a triple if not more. 2 brackets would cost £40-100.
