Kombi Seat - What am I doing wrong

I have a triple seat and I was always under the impression it folded flat. I’ve just been out to measure up to make a bed/kitchen pod for the rear and couldn’t get the seat to fold completely flat.

Pulled the first release to fold the backrest down, it was nowhere near flat. Pulled the lower release to tilt slightly forward which looked better, but when measured there was about 8cm difference between the height at the front and the back.

have I missed something, or is that as flat as it goes?

Does it fold completely flat with just the first release? Or do you have to tilt it a little also. I was doing it from the boot side, wonder if from the front would make a difference?

No , don't need to tilt it , just the single pull in the centre and back folds forward till flat

Thanks, that puts my mind at ease. The seat looks flat, but if you look at the panel below the window you can see the seat is slightly higher at the front.

What I’m trying to work out is the ideal height for the rear unit so it clears correctly. If that’s your van mate, would you mind measuring the height of your rear unit up to the point the top boards are sat at if that makes sense.

Absolutely no rush, as I’m still to pick up the timber. I’m also a massive procrastinator so it will probably take me a month haha
