Latching system to kombi seat brackets

Does anyone know of a latchtype that could be retfofitted to (for example) to a ply bike stand, or anything for that matter.

Makes sense to me that there could be many uses for some sort of quick release latch that would fasten to the rear seat brackets. Endless possibilities!

Hi, short answer is no I don't but a lot of people including myself use spare seat feet and mod them like my motorbike stand etc.

Cheers for your reply, is there any play in it? rattle?

I've noticed someone else on here used j bolts which can be tightened and i'd imagine would be very silent with no movement.

i want to do the same as you but with my mountainbike

Hi, with my set up its a pretty tight fit with no rattles, the bar has ends welded to it and the seat feet bolt to those. This is then rebated into the inch thick removable ply floor and takes quite a push to lock it into place, Obviously a motorbike is heavier than your planned use but I would think you could achieve a satisfactory result.

mounting furniture to kombi seat points

has anyone got any experience mounting furniture to the kombi seat brackets? I'm looking to remove the single seat of the 2+1 to create space for a simple ply storage box. I was thinking of using u-bolts to anchor it down but want it to be as safe as possible when the kids are in the car. thanks!!
