Leaking sliding door rusting blind mechanism

Hi everyone,

I have noticed that there must be some sort of leak on the rear driver (RHD) side sliding door of my 2016 Caravelle.

It is fine in rain, but after I power wash the van or take it through the carwash, there will be some damp on the driver's side blind. I do not wash the van often (partly because of this issue) and the problem has now become so bad that the blind mechanism must have rusted/seized and the blind won't retract any longer.

Can anyone help identify where the water ingress is? It is not immediately clear to me where it is coming from as the door lining itself does not appear to be damp.

Thanks

Have a Search with ‘sliding windows’. If you have a van that doesn’t have leaking sliding windows you have won the Lottery.

Water ingress is common and well documented. Sliding side windows one source, rear sliding door at the C pillar area and last but not least the tailgate. All leaking areas never been sorted since the T5 was first released. My 2008, 2016 and 2021 caravelle they all have the same leaking points. Yesterday I have discovered water Ingress at the tailgate…
