LED DRL bulbs

Posted this on the FB T6 forum but though this might be of use here.

A while ago I swapped my drl bulbs for these a while ago. Great bulbs but as you can see they have affected the reflectors. I know there are a few people on here who use these. Has anyone else had this issue.

There are many response on the FB T6 forum with the view that this is caused by smoke from a connector in the bulb but they don't seem to get hot. I watch a video where the guy was explaining why can bus error free bulbs can get hot. Basically the high load through the resistor. He was advising they were used for intermittent lights only (indicators etc)

Its all the cheap chinese versions we bought - not seen many other types cause this.

Its totally put me off LED bulbs.

On the plus side the smoke staining can be wiped off and it causes no actual damage.
